Pen to Paper.
Piano notes trickling,
A wonderful pitter-patter.
Soft as her touch.
Winding, melding-
Growing older,
Moving out.
A tearful moment
Come and gone.
Realization of loss, love, relief
And everything in between.

That’s totally fine and understandable. And of course, the more poetry you write, the more confident you’ll become with the process. I need to remind myself that all the time :) If someday you do decide to publish, you’ll have a great selection of poems to pick from.
Thanks again!

Sadly no, I haven't gone public with any of my work yet; writing poetry is more of a coping mechanism/hobby for me at this time, so I don't feel like I have the consistency to keep up with a blog or anything. I'm also not super confident about it either. I don't know if it'd really be blog-quality. I do like the idea of publishing one day, though. But that's probably just another unrealistic daydream. Such is the life of a writer. 😂
No problem! I'm happy to have a found a poet so original and relatable!
Oh nice! That’s good to hear. Word of mouth is always effective.
Well, awesome! Double high-five, my friend. 🥳
Thank you, I’ve never heard of Iain St. Thomas, but I will definitely check him out now.
Do you post your work publicly anywhere? Feel free to link it if you like.
Again, I appreciate your kind words, and I can only pray that my poetry lives up to your descriptions :)
I'm glad too! I was recommended here by a peer in an online writing community I'm a part of, so you've got a few fans!
(High-five! And hilariously enough, l also happen to be a type 9 as well. Though I know much less about the Enneagram than I do MBTI.)
I'd say you're off to a fantastic start; some of your poems remind me of Iain St. Thomas. He's another contemporary poet, and his book I Wrote This For You is what inspired me personally to pursue contemporary poetry.
His and your styles both have a very raw, yet gentle feel to them that invokes emotion and empathy easily.
Hey, thank you! I’m glad you found me. :) I don’t have many people visiting my site right now, so props to you for checking it out. (Also high-five, Mediator)
That’s a wonderful description you provided. It’s hard to know how my writing is being perceived by others, so that’s reassuring to hear, and I hope future poems can produce the same effect.
